Fire Marshall Starts Investigation of Abandoned House Fires in Winnfield

Sunday morning, August 5th, around 4:30 Winnfield City Fire Department was dispatched to not only one structure fire, but two.

These two houses were located on Ames Will’s Street, standing next to each other. Both residences were fully involved when firefighters reached the scene. It took almost two hours to extinguish the fires of both structures. But only ten minutes after this call, there was a third house that was reported to be fully involved with flames. A house on Halsey St. was called in, with power lines down in the area. The Winn Parish Fire District #3 was dispatched as a mutual aid.
