“Our mission is to make a difference in our community and this important and informative community education series will help us accomplish that,” comments Bryan Bogle, CEO of Winn Parish Medical Center. “In 2012, we will use what will be a regular series of Lunch & Learn programs, all free to the community, as a means of presenting important health and wellness information to the people we serve.” Bogle said in addition to the Lunch & Learn programs featuring a physician or other healthcare expert in their field as presenters, attendees will receive a free lunch.
Landreneau’s presentation will focus on how people can maintain the health of their heart through proper diet, exercise, and recognition of conditions that may require further discussion with their personal physician. He will also discuss the latest techniques used in diagnosing and treating conditions that can affect the heart. Landreneau is a cardiologist with the Winn Parish Medical Center Specialty Clinic and sees patients by appointment each Tuesday in Winnfield. His office hours are by appointment and can be made by calling 648-3058.
Anyone interested in participating should register by calling 648-3090 by Monday, Feb. 13. Pre-registration is required and participation is limited to the first 25 registrants. Information on future Lunch & Learns can also be obtained at that number.
