WPFD was dispatched to the report of a structure fire this morning in the Cypress Creek community. Upon arrival, FFs observed a single family dwelling in the decay stage with only partial exterior walls standing. The fire had also spread far beyond the structure into the vegetation around it. FFs deployed an 1.75” handline and a booster line to began overhaul procedures. After speaking with the resident owner, IC requested assistance with the Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s office due to the nature of the incident. The resident owner stated that at the time of the fire the house was unoccupied and had been since the previous night. Once overhaul was complete, all personnel returned to Central. Thank you to all personnel who responded! Please keep the affected family in your thoughts and prayers!
